Eternal Collection is the brainchild of a husband and wife team: Paul and Pauline Buttress. 

Pauline’s passion is costume jewellery, especially diamante jewellery and clip-on earrings, so while she and husband Paul were living on the South Coast of England, Pauline regularly indulged her passion in the myriad local boutiques. However, when the couple moved to rural Highland Perthshire, Pauline’s purse strings were somewhat clipped, and Internet and mail order catalogue shopping replaced previous High Street and boutique shopping. She quickly became frustrated by the difficulty of finding an online costume jewellery range which suited her taste, and especially by the limited choice of clip-on earrings for sale on the Internet.

Between them, Paul and Pauline had over 25 years’ senior management experience in the mail order sector, so the logical next step was to combine their in-depth knowledge of mail order with Pauline’s desire to find suitable costume jewellery. The result of this fusion of experience and passion is Eternal Collection – an eclectic, affordable, costume jewellery range, featuring highly individual pieces which can be easily purchased online.

This brings us to Pauline’s second great love, namely Italy – its people, its lifestyle and its fashion & design (not to mention its excellent food and wine!). Scarcely surprising then that the Buttress’ search for costume jewellery began in Italy where, over several visits, the couple formed good relationships with jewellery design houses in Milan, Naples, Rome and Venice.   Pauline and Paul favoured smaller design houses, predominantly family-owned, whose unmistakable passion for quality, design and service equalled their own. 

They continued their personal costume jewellery crusade by visiting numerous costume jewellers and designers throughout France and the UK, choosing ultimately to work closely with one designer in Paris and one master costume jeweller in London.
