During Prohibition in the USA women would wear large, decadent rings to illegal cocktail parties, hence the name "Cocktail Ring". The more extravagant and noticeable the ring, the higher the status. The cocktail ring then became incredibly popular during the 1940s and 1950's and many people love to collect these now vintage rings.
Cocktail rings, also known as costume jewellery rings, or fashion jewellery rings are very much back in vogue now and we believe the trend is here to stay.
Costume Jewellery rings are fun, and just a bit flashy. Some women shy away from costume jewellery rings because they are exactly that - flashy. These big rings, so often above six carats of fun, are meant to be huge! This is not the shy woman’s accessory - the fashion ring is an accessory that is just a bit over-the-top, and it is meant to be that way.
Costume jewellery rings get you noticed and it’s so easy to see why. When you are wearing a beautiful ring with diamante accents it will glimmer and shine and catch the light at every chance! Your ring is very much the accessory that will make you stand out from a crowd. Every woman looks unique and different wearing a fashion ring.
Costume rings make your hands look more delicate, more feminine. Large, super feminine rings engulf your hands and immediately attract attention. They come in many styles, but with one thing in common, they are all about the “bling”. Even the fashion rings made in classic gold-tone or silver-tone metals are often totally over the top and usually still have a touch of pizzazz.
Costume rings are definitely the way to go when it comes to glitz and glamour as evidenced by the number of celebrities seen wearing them, but the name of the game is definitely that more is better with costume jewellery rings.
